blcreative Creative thinking for efficient communication

European elections May 2014 - a turning point in the European project.

European People's party

Experience. Solidarity. Future.

In 2014, European-level political parties campaigned across the European Union. Voters were for the first time able to not only choose their representatives in the European Parliament, but also express their choice for the next President of the European Commission. These elections were more transparent, more democratic and more European than ever before. At the Dublin Elections Congress in March (an event that gathered more than 2.000 high-level politicians and media from all over Europe), delegates elected candidate Jean-Claude Juncker to officially become the EPP candidate. blcreative provided the winning team with their identity.

blcreative took the lead in campaign creative, identity development and production of print collateral, including external and internal venue branding, stage and press room branding, on-screen presentations and a 24 page party manifesto translated into 21 languages. Core identity elements included a unique typeface created by ourselves, to carry with absolute clarity the campaign maxim of “Experience, Solidarity, Future”, and also a powerful logotype that spearheaded the Junker campaign trail to the four corners of Europe.
